Entry Requirements
Entrants to this qualification must have access to a computer, laptop, hand held or mobile device, the internet and also meet one of the following criteria:
- Possess a Certificate IV in Beauty Therapy (or related discipline); OR
- Possess relevant skills and knowledge gained through work experience; OR
- Possess an Australian Senior Secondary Certificate of Education (i.e. a Year 12 qualification) or equivalent; OR
- Demonstrate through a video conference, phone or in person interview the appropriate skills to undertake the course.
Additionally, to facilitate successful completion of the course, it is recommended that entrants have:
- A minimum of 6 months’ work experience in any role
- Proficiency in the use of technology and social web based programs (such as Facebook)
- High level language, literacy and numeracy proficiency.
Pathways
SOUTHERN CROSS UNIVERSITY
Students who successfully complete the SHB50115 Diploma of Beauty Therapy may choose to undertake further study with Southern Cross University (SCU).
SCU provides a range of vocational education and training (VET) pathways to university from some Nationally accredited VET courses and qualifications within discipline related Australian Training Packages.
SCU’s national VET Qualification Credit Linkages facilitate entry (admission) and/or credit for prior learning into a range of SCU courses for any person holding the specific qualification or accredited course award, regardless of which Australian Registered Training Organisation (RTO) issued the qualification.
