Meet Debra,

Having worked in retail for 30 years, Debra said “I’ve always been a manual worker, but running a business was something completely different”. So, Debra set forth to gain the knowledge to pursue her dream of running a business. Debra enrolled in a Diploma course.

As an older student, Debra struggled with low confidence, and was a bit hesitant to study. However, this struggle was short lived as Debra remarked: “taking a course helped build my confidence by making me believe in myself and teaching me to persevere. It also gave me the knowledge to turn a little dream, into the real deal”.

Debra has now completed her Diploma and proudly runs her own wonderful vintage high tea hire business. Congratulations, Debra!

Debra’s advice to students is to “study a course that interests you and you will be surprised how much it helps you realise your potential”.
